Congratulations to Jolene Morath (Grade 6) and Joseph Loeffler (Grade 8) for being named Elks Lodge Drug Awareness Essay Contest Winners at the state level - what an achievement!
Congratulations to our Grade 2 students who received their First Penance! Much preparation went into this first step on the children's way to their First Holy Communion next year. Thank you to Mrs. Jennifer Preston and Mrs. Kate Gnida for guiding our students and their families.
Thank you to all of the Holy Trinity School families for making the 7th Annual Holy Trinity Day one that our students will not soon forget! Once again this year, classroom parents went all-out in their décor – themed paper products, elaborate tablescapes, costume components for the students, coordinated treats and favors – all of which were surprises for the children! From superheroes to aliens to Hollywood stars, our students were treated to one surprise after another! Thank you to Cafe Antonio for providing lunch for our students, families, and special community guests, and to all those who shared in this celebration of the anniversary of our Small School with a Big Heart being saved from closure!
What a successful showcase of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math activities for all ages to enjoy! Holy Trinity School families were invited to put their bridge-making skills to the test, devised marshmallow shooters, created color wheel spinners and homopolar motors, learned about light refraction, designed - and then ate! - edible, symmetrical snowflakes, explored the planetarium, demonstrated their coding skills, watched demonstrations by the Robotics and Graphic Design Clubs, discovered the secrets of cryptography, and made reusable shopping bags from recycled T-shirts - WOW! Thank you to Mrs. Susan Smith for her coordination of the evening's events and the parent, student, and faculty volunteers who assisted before, during, and after.
Job well done by our "Principal for the Day" Dylan Unkert (Grade 4)! Dylan won the honor of spending a day in the shoes of our principal as part of the Carnival of Prizes raffle drawing during Catholic Schools Week. Dylan made announcements over the public address system, visited the classrooms, sent messages to teachers, and learned a lot about the job from Mrs. McDowell and Mr. McCusker. The faculty and staff all agreed that "Mr. Unkert" was a pleasure to work with!
