Our Junior High Unit kicked-off their month-long academic competition including a parade of participating countries, playing of each country’s national anthem, running of the torch, flying of each country’s flag, and academic, physical, and team-building challenges. Perhaps you saw the event covered during segments on 6ABC's Action News?
Our youngest students came to school dressed as a profession they hope to one day pursue. They then explained to their teachers and classmates what a person in that profession does every day and why they think they would enjoy that career. Some careers represented were veterinarians, police officers, construction workers, medical personnel, and teachers - our future world will be in very capable hands when our PreKindergarten students grow up!
As is tradition, the school was visited this morning by the Three Kings, who explained to our students their significance to the birth of Jesus and the meaning behind the gifts they brought Him. Monsignor then blessed our school and classrooms for the new year.
