While Holy Trinity students love any kind of BINGO, Advent BINGO is a crowd favorite! Prayer Partners played together and exchanged small Christmas treats in between games. Dozens and dozens of prizes were awarded to our winners. This is just one of the many treasured Advent traditions at Holy Trinity School!
Representatives from our 8th Grade dressed for the holiday and delivered the Holy Trinity community's donations to the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia! After collecting gift cards, single-serve snacks, toiletries, and toys for the past several weeks, the students had the opportunity to see the home-away-from-home where their donations will be put to use by families managing the hospitalization of a child. Thank you to all who so generously donated this Advent!
The Holy Trinity School Robotics Team took home two first-place awards at the La Salle College High School First Lego League competition! Congratulations on a job well done - you represented our school wonderfully! Our two teams were comprised of students in Grades 6, 7, and 8. A special thank you to Mrs. Pirraglia (Grade 3), Mrs. Smith (Grade 5 & Science Coordinator), Miss Fario (MSD 21st Century Community Learning Center), and La Salle volunteers for making this all possible for our students.
Our First Grade students were treated to a special Christmas Party thrown for them by the Conwell Egan Catholic High School community! The students played games, had a visit from Santa and the school mascot, made a craft, ate cookies and candy canes, sang songs, and listened to a Christmas story. What an enjoyable morning for the students and their teachers at BOTH schools!
An annual tradition at Holy Trinity School, students in PreK through Grade 8 enjoyed a sweet snack with their Prayer Partners as the older students read a Christmas book to their younger counterparts. Each student was also presented with an ornament commemorating an event in their school year, made especially for them by their homeroom parents.
Our students are having a wonderful time selecting special surprises for their families and friends this week at Holy Trinity's annual Santa's Secret Shop! Thank you to the many parent (and grandparent!) volunteers who helped with setup, shopped with our younger students, worked the cash register, wrapped the gifts, and contributed snacks for the bake sale - you truly helped make this Christmas season a memorable one for our students!
In celebration of Computer Science Education Week, Holy Trinity students participated in the international Hour of Code event for the fifth consecutive year. Students were provided with a variety of fun, self-guided lessons specifically designed for their age groups and experience levels using the concepts of JavaScript, Tynker’s block-coding language, Python, and Scratch.
